Kazakhstan strengthens bird flu prevention efforts

Sanitary, quarantine and customs control over the people arrived from Southeast Asia has been tightened at the border
|
checkpoints in order to prevent outbreaks of high pathogenic avian flu in Kazakhstan, the press service of the Customs Control Committee of the Finance Ministry informs.
|
Preventive treatment will be carried out, if there emerge any symptoms of that virulent disease. Besides, Kazakhstan has banned importation of poultry and game, poultry products got through no veterinary control due to process of law.
|
Any suspicions about H5N1 virus appearance must be reported immediately to the State Sanitary-Epidemiological Control Committee of the Healthcare Ministry and Customs Control Committee of the Finance Ministry of Kazakhstan.
